Ram, the local village Romeo, is charming yet dramatic vagabond whereas Leela is an unbridled and passionate village Juliet. The only thing in common between these two strangers is their families' hatred for each other. The two communities have been sworn enemies since the past 500 years and their own kin falling in love with each other is worse than any storm that could have ever come. At a length of 76 kilometers and height of 18,875 feet above sea level, Siachen is the longest glacier in the Karakoram range and is the second-longest amongst the world's non-polar areas. Siachen which translates to 'Land of Wild Roses' in a local dialect is considered the world's highest battlefield. The average winter snowfall is more than 1000 cm (35 feet) and temperatures can dip to −50 °C. Siachen Glacier's melting snow is a major source of the Indus river and feeds the world's largest natural irrigation system.
