Jamuna Bai is the daughter of a famous courtesan named Kamala Bai who was known in Benaras for dance. Although Jamuna had learnt music from her childhood, she was never willing to pursue her mother s profession. This led to the mother-daughter duo suffer from poverty and affront from commoners. Chandrakanta, a rich businessman sees Jamuna and falls in love with her. After a few meetings Jamuna starts liking him too. One day Jamuna finds a desolate boy child on the banks of the river and decides to raise him. Chandrakanta stands beside her when the society blames her for the act. They get married. However Jamuna stays back at Benaras and faces extreme hardships to raise the kid and is forced to step into her mother s shoes. This leads to a confront between her and Chandrakanta who leaves her and goes away. Jamuna leaves her kid with her guruji and starts living apart for the fear of her kid knowing her identity. The kid grows up to be a skilled musician however does not hold a good opinion about her mother. Jamuna is hurt to the core however she does not reveal the reason so as to why she had to choose that path. In the end, the truth is revealed. Deep Jale Jai is a sensitive and touchy story of a nurse called Radha who works in a psychiatric hospital. Col Mitter, the owner of the clinic thinks that the best way to recover the psychiatric patients is through love and care. He asks Radha to serve in this way and then help them to recover. Her first successful case is of Debashish. But when Debashish recovers we find that Radha had actually fallen in love with him. After he recovers, he does not remember her and he returned to his previous life. Radha faced a setback and hides her true feelings. Tapas, another patient comes to the clinic after betrayed by his lover. Radha refuses to be a part of the act again, but is slowly entered into it. Gradually, with her love, affection and care Tapas starts improving and ultimately recovers totally. Tapas loves Radha, but she is committed by her duty tries to avoid him. She requested the owner that she do not want to meet Tapas.. Tapas was looking for her. But Radha tells him that she has only acted with him. Sujit realizes that the whole incident was a scam and Aparajita had played trickery on him. He finds a letter from Aparajita begging for forgiveness. She mentions that her name is actually Minu and not Aparajita and that since she was the eldest of the family and did not get a respectable job, had joined a group of people who earned money by playing trickery on people.
