Sasikala, a news reporter is assigned to interview Ravi Varma (Mammootty), who is sentenced to death for the murder of his wife Mercy (Sumalatha), who is also Sasikala's sister. He is sentenced to death by the supreme court and Sasikala publishes the story she heard and is well appreciated for teh same.
