Lateef (Nawazuddin Siddique) is a middle-class youngster whose dream is to become a doctor. But as fate would have it, he gets caught in a drug raid where he simply happened to be present unknowingly. He is jailed and released seven years later, after which his whole life and his future are ruined. Meanwhile, ACP Sawant (Mukesh Tiwari) wants to wipe out drug peddling but has to face many obstacles from the corrupt minister (Akhilendra Mishra) and drug mafia Zafar Dongri (Murli Sharma). The film starts with a clash between the offering of the routine morning prayers of the Muslim cleric and his neighboring Hindu priest. The Muslim cleric is vexed with the Hindu priest but is more bothered about his son, who is a good friend of his and pays regular visits to the temple. He scolds and punishes Janu several times and warned him that he may be cursed to hell if he continues this. The cleric loses his temper when he comes to know that his son has participated in the annual Hindu mythological play, Ramleela, and played the role of the Hindu God Hanuman. He gets upset, punishes his son and explains to him the difference between the two religions. At the end of the story, petrified with an incident, Janu absconds from his home. His father searches for him everywhere and during this painful search for his lost son, he realizes that he is first a father to his son before being a cleric. Rajdhani Express is the story of Keshav, an errand boy for an arms trafficker. On one such errand, Keshav steals the weapons and books a ticket on the Rajdhani Express from Delhi to Mumbai in order to escape. However, his fate follows him through his escape onto the train in the form of Yadav, the DY Commissioner of ATS. While trying to apprehend Keshav, Yadav manages to extract political mileage from the situation by weaving a web, endangering not only Keshav's, but also his co-passengers' lives. However, the Commissioner has an ulterior motive to get even with his boss, the Minister of Home, whose parents also happen to be on the train.
