Jungle Ki Chandni

After spending ten years in prison, Sultan Bhai (Dharmendra) once an uncrowned king of Bombay is released from the jail and starts living peaceful life in the hearts of Basti people. Damodar Kangley alias D.K. (Mohan Joshi) who was a right hand man of Sultan, is now become the terror of the town. He has taken over Sultan's place D.K. wants to get the same Basti vacated where Sultan lives. Thus a big tussel starts between them.In the meantime Rajeshwar Singh (Mukesh Khanna) an old friend of Sultan is transferred to Bombay as an A.C.P. (A.T.S.) to control the fast increasing criminal activities in the city. Rajeshwar's brother Jai (Hitesh) is doing his police training in Nasik Police Academy. His beloved Anjali (Rubaina Khan) is daughter of D.C.P. Shrikant. To remove Sultan form his way, D.K. entangles him in a murder case. Sultan is arrested. Rajeswhar Singh arrests Munna, younger brother of D.K. on doubt and encounters him. D.K. goes mad. In retaliation he kills Rajeshwar's wife and daughter and shoots at his leg to make him handicapped. Jai, for whom the world became meaningless, sets foot in Bombay. He joins D.K.'s gang hiding his real identity, in order to take revenge of this Bhabi and niece. Sultan also escapes from jail and he too vows to destroy D.K's world. At a juncture D.K. gets to know the real identity of Jai. And Jai runs for his life. A drama film about a family consisting of Barrister Mohan; his son - CID Inspector Sharad, daughter, Kamla and a school-going son, Munna. Sharad's marriage has been arranged with Karuna, who lives a wealthy lifestyle with her widowed father. On the day of the marriage, Kamla asks Karuna to retrieve some letters that she had written to her former lover, Ramesh Bhatia. Karuna goes to retrieve them but ends up assaulting Ramesh, and returns just in time to get married. Both women promise to never reveal this secret to anyone, as this may break-up the marriage. But soon they find out that Ramesh has been killed and investigations show that the killer is a woman whose name starts with 'K'. Sharad is assigned this case but is unable to proceed, and as a result of his superior, SP Verma closes the file. The story continues and soon, the entire family's dirty laundry will be aired before an open courtroom where Mohan will prepare to defend his daughter-in-law, while Sharad will appear as a witness against his very own wife. more»

Rakesh (Sunil Dutt), a successful lawyer, comes home to find his wife succumbing to a fatal illness, and she dies only a few hours later, but he is soon contacted by a woman claiming to be the same wife he just watched die. The woman (Sadhana) is detained by the police, who believe she is a notorious criminal named Raina, though she does bear a striking resemblance to Rakesh's late wife. Sapna lives in poverty with her factory worker's mother and her alcoholic step-father. Sapna's friend Neeta's husband is crippled from an accident and goes blind. Neeta goes to work to support her family as a prostitute. Colonel Sahab is a doctor in a psychiatry ward and Nurse Radha (Waheeda Rahman) is heart-broken after a civilian patient, Dev Kumar (Dharmendra), whom she cared for, pouring out her love and affection, leaves the hospital, as she had been unable to keep her heart separate from her professional work and had fallen in love with her patient. Next Arun Choudury (Rajesh Khanna), a writer and poet enters as a patient, suffering acute mania after being rejected by his lover, Sulekha. After refusing to take his care, Radha relents and starts nursing him. In between while caring for Arun she reminisces her past and tells a story of how she took care of injured brave army soldiers when she was posted in Laddakh during the Sino-Indian war of 1962.Gradually Arun gets cured by the love of Nurse Radha, who yet again falls hopelessly in love with her patient. Unable to hide from the truth yet unable to face it, Radha herself goes insane and is admitted to the same clinic. The film is a light-hearted comic love story, wherein Sunil Dutt falls in love with a 'phool' (flower) Waheeda Rehman but has to impress her four uncles, the 'kante' (thorns) of the title. Each uncle has a different idiosyncrasy and Sunil Dutt pretends to be an expert in that field in order to impress that particular uncle. The four uncles select their prot g for their niece, not knowing that each is selecting the same boy. When the boy whom they have approved disappears, they agree to marry their niece off to her choice, who is Sunil Dutt again. more»
