When Ashok Mehra loses his wife to a complicated childbirth, he accepts fate and continues to flourish in his successful business even as his young daughter Mini grows up, missing out on a mother s love. As fate would have it, a struggling couple comes to depend on him for their expenses when the wife, Radha who is very similar in her looks to Ashok s late wife is appointed as Mini s governess.
