Rajnandini (Sandeepa Dhar), a small town girl from Rajasthan is sent surreptitiously to a Mumbai college by her mother because her father (Mohnish Behl) doesn't want her to mix up with the modern metro kids. He wants to marry her off despite the fact that she is a topper in school. College turns out to be a life-changing experience for Rajnandini who metamorphoses into RJ, the livewire of the campus drama society.
