A frustrated Harilal Gandhi goes haywire in a bid to embrace success. He cheats people of their hard-earned money by using his father's pious name. He doesn't bay an eyelid before visiting brothels and converting to Islam. His wife disowns him and, in the end, even his doting mother asks him to leave her house when he comes drunk to meet his parents.

Mrinal Dutta, the elder son of the family, is a reporter and the sole earning member. He has a sister whose marriage is almost fixed with their music teacher. The climax starts building up when brother Kunal Dutta returns a rich businessman. He spends money lavishly and becomes the most powerful person in the family with a house and a car. The sister's marriage is suddenly called off and a new alliance is sought after with the principal of a music school. The monetary differences between the two brothers start stemming up in various forms. Kunal unexpectedly marries a girl whose father was a freedom fighter. Kunal, however is very rude to his wife and one day she finds some evidence of Kunal being involved in smuggling. Kunal is eventually proved a smuggler. This leads to more problems in the family and sibling relationships are on doldrums. The sister's fiance takes advantage of her and impregnates her. During this time the police chase Kunal who comes begging for help from his brother. The police however arrest him and put him behind bars. After that the family pleads guilty. Kunal is punished for a term of 4 years. The sister's fiance takes responsibility of his insensitive act and all is fine with the family after a brief period of turmoil.

Indra is a very well known, wealthy, rich, arrogant person who used to live his childhood with his aunt. His aunt is his only guardian. A girl called Radha lives with his aunt. Both Indra and Radha likes each other very much. They spent a long time together and thus became good friends and then lovers. But Indra then decided to go to England to have a Law degree. So he flies to UK. But in the meantime Radha became pregnant .She realizes that this is the symbol of their love, but she never told anybody about it. One day Indra s aunt came to know about the pregnancy of Radha. She insisted her to reveal the whole thing but Radha remain silent. After that Radha tries to communicate with Indra but fails to do so. So she gives birth in a very unpleasant situation but her baby gets a very poor treatment due to her poverty. The condition of the child gone bad to worse and then the child did not live longer. After that she gone to a brothel and faced a murder charge. During the trial procedure Indra recognizes her and then helped her.

A doctor who was helped by the jamindar during his student days took shelter in the palace and then tried to kill the zamindar. He then threatened Indu. The zamindar was fortunately saved by a monk but the doctor by this time managed to occupy the whole state. zamindar returned back and demanded his state back from the doctor. The film is about the struggle that the zamindar had to undergo before he was able to get back all that he had lost.

Subhash Chandra Bose was born in an advocate family in Cuttack and received the best education in his childhood. He was deeply inspired by the headmaster in his school who introduced him to the lives and works of Swami Vivekananda and Rabindranath Tagore. The incident of Khudiram s hanging to death brought deep rich emotions within him and he decided to know his own country. He went to Presidency College, wherein, inspite of being an extraordinary student, he was expelled for assaulting Professor Oaten for speaking ill about India and Indians. He then joined Scottish Church College where he passed with flying colours. After a brief stint abroad, Bose returned to India and initiated his mission of releasing India from the reigns of the British. He became the president for the Congress party and started motivating youngsters to start loving their country with their lives. World War 2 brought about an opportunity for him to strike at the British. Therefore he sought assistance from the Japanese and formed the Azad Hind Fauj. Even today, the mystery of his death is yet to be unfolded.

During the last few decades of British raj, some revolutionary groups were formed in India to launch an attack against them. Such group was Pather Dabi. Headed by an courgeious, bold, commited and very talented leader called Sabyasachi. He was the protagonist who always escapes from the government of British Raj and became a headache for them. He could speak any language, could take any dress and make up, so it was very humiliating for the huge British forces. Sabyasachi once decided to launch a final attack from the outside India and decided to buy some weapons from Germany. So he escapes to Burma and again he fooled British administration. He flew to Burma to arrange that final assault. But a rare leadership battle was started within the group. British government took that advantage and collects all information from them and traced that ship which was carrying weapons in the mid way. Sabyasachi again flew away and started planning again. This story was a great example of the courage and patriorism.
