The storyline of the movie basically involves arround the protagonist, a Chinese by birth called Wang Lu. Avery simple, honest, sincere and hardworking person came to India for his living. He was a very lonely person with a great heart. It was depicted on the last days of British raj, so the whole country was living with great anxiety and therefore everybody was looking for their perspectives of the situations. Struggle for freedom was in extream and that feelings were spread very fast into the minds of the citizen. In this context Wang Lu was looking for his living and suddenly meets a child. After some close proximity with that child Wang Lu became a friend of that child. Basanti was the mother of that child and Wang Lu begins a fellow feeling for them. After the hard days he did found some peace with them. This story is a classic how these three lives evolve arround the socioeconomic background of those days of struggle.

" Agamikal is the story of Sumita, a girl from a middle class background. Sumita and Sarbajit meet and fall in love. Sarbajit is an unemployed boy while Sumita is a working girl. One day Sarbajit is shattered when he finds out that Sumita works as a call girl. Sumita tells that a failed loveless marriage and poverty forced her into this profession. Sarbajit leaves her and goes away. Sarbajit s father falls seriously ill and needs an immediate heart surgery. Sarbajit fails to get financial help from his relatives and friends. Sumita comes forward and provides the money for surgery. Sharmaji forces Sumita to entertain clients but Sarbajit enters his house and a broil ensues. Sharmaji gets shot by himself. Sarbajit is taken to court and though acquitted gets three years of imprisonment. Sarbajit s mother accepts Sumita as her daughter-in-law and gives her shelter."

Headed by an courgeious, bold, commited and very talented leader called Sabyasachi. He was the protagonist who always escapes from the government of British Raj and became a headache for them. He could speak any language, could take any dress and make up, so it was very humiliating for the huge British forces. Sabyasachi once decided to launch a final attack from the outside India and decided to buy some weapons from Germany. So he escapes to Burma and again he fooled British administration. He flew to Burma to arrange that final assault. But a rare leadership battle was started within the group. British government took that advantage and collects all information from them and traced that ship which was carrying weapons in the mid way. Sabyasachi again flew away and started planning again. This story was a great example of the courage and patriorism.

His sister-in-law pawns all her ornaments so that he can continue his education. Hari is forced to steal when he is unable to save Aju s exam fee. Aju s sister-in-law tells Aju that Hari stole to buy ornaments for her so that he doesn t feel guilty. Aju gets angry and leaves home. Hari is jailed. Hari s younger son Ratan dies due to lack of treatment. They shift to the city when Hari is released from jail. Hari starts working in a factory where Aju is the manager. In the mean time Aju realizes his mistake. Circumstances finally unite the brothers and also unite Aju with his sister-in-law.

Madhav respects his elder brother and tries to follow his footsteps. But sometime Bindubasini misunderstood it due to her over passionate psychological structure. Slowly she began to look after Amulya. Amulya began to call her mother. Suddenly Amulya became the world of Bindubasini. All the love and affection of Bindubasini was reserved only for Amulya and he also reciprocated by following her every instruction. At this point of time A cousin sister of Tarak and Madhav came to their residence and started to interfere in their daily life. But their child was a spoiled one. So a rare conflict of perspectives was introduced in the family and they go through some collisions and disputes. It s a fantastic example of emotional twists and turns in Bengali middle class families.
