Underworld don David Billa (Ajith Kumar); is on Interpol's criminal list; hiding and operating out of Malaysia.DSP Jayprakash (Prabhu Ganesan) has spent the last few years looking for Billa; leaving behind a life in India.During a chase with the police Billa is severely wounded after an accident and dies in front of the DSP. The DSP realises that keeping Billa's death as a secret is the best way to inflitrate the gang. He tracks down a look-alike called Saravana Velu (Ajith Kumar); a lowly pick-pocket and asks Velu to infiltrate Billa's gang by pretending to be Billa. Velu does so; but in a encounter; the DSP is killed. Now Velu gets arrested and none believes that he is not the real Billa. Velu now has to break the law and escape to prove his innocence. more»

Sundarapandian (Anandaraj), an orphan and angry man, is the henchman of a rich man Manivannan (Manivannan) and he often went to jail for minor offenses. Karthikeyan (Ramkumar) enters his house as a maid and he falls with his daughter Kalyani (Saradha Preetha). In the meantime, Mallaria (Kasthuri), an orphan, tries to reform Sundarapandian and they fall in love with each other. One day, a poor girl Chellayi (Ragasudha) is raped and killed by a corrupted MLA (Vasu Vikram). Sundarapandian and Mallaria finally get married, they decide to leave the village but they don't have enough money. Manivannan prepares his daughter's wedding with the MLA and Manivannan orders Sundarapandian to kill the innocent Karthikeyan. Sundarapandian, who is now a good man, decide to join the young pair. Chaurahen - Crossroads is an evocative and poignant composition consisting of three separate stories set in three different cities in contemporary India. Each revolves around love, life, and loss. Farooq remains troubled by his own inability to let go of the memories of his dead parents in his ancestral which he continues to occupy and use as the disturbing muse for his own writing.
