Underworld don David Billa (Ajith Kumar); is on Interpol's criminal list; hiding and operating out of Malaysia.DSP Jayprakash (Prabhu Ganesan) has spent the last few years looking for Billa; leaving behind a life in India.During a chase with the police Billa is severely wounded after an accident and dies in front of the DSP. The DSP realises that keeping Billa's death as a secret is the best way to inflitrate the gang. He tracks down a look-alike called Saravana Velu (Ajith Kumar); a lowly pick-pocket and asks Velu to infiltrate Billa's gang by pretending to be Billa. Velu does so; but in a encounter; the DSP is killed. Now Velu gets arrested and none believes that he is not the real Billa. Velu now has to break the law and escape to prove his innocence. more»

The film begins with Kadhirvel (Prashanth), a do-gooder going all out to get water for his village. With monsoon repeatedly failing, his village reels under drought and Prashanth runs from pillar to post to get a well dug in the village. He manages to bring Shanmugham (Mahadevan), a water-divining expert to dig a well in the village. Shanmugham along with his wife and daughter Marikozhundhu (Pooja) come to the village. Unfortunately a freak mishap kills Shanmugham and the villagers' search for water continues. To eke out their livelihood, all the villagers led by Prashanth decide to leave the village with a heavy heart to take up employment in a farm house in Rajasthan. Upon reaching the place they come to know that they have been taken as bonded labourers and there is no way out but to work there tirelessly for the next three years. They undergo physical and mental torture from the greedy landlord Thakur Dass (Vincent Asokan). A silver lining in the cloud is Swapna (Namitha), Thakur's sister. She gets fascinated by Kadhirvel's heroics. The rest is how Kadhirvel fights for his men and helps them reach their village back without any danger and eventually marry Marikozhundhu. more»

Jayanta Chowdhury, a ground engineer is gravely injured and is received by his fiance, Kuntala who takes care of him. However Jayanta is not at peace as he had smelled conspiracy. He returns to Kolkata much to Kuntala s dismay and starts following another ground engineer Sandeep Mukherjee, who he believes is playing up against his employer. Jayanta takes up the name of Arun Ray and befriends Sandeep to know about him. He soon realizes that Kuntala was Sandeep s sister. In the meantime, Sandeep is made aware of Jayanta s identity and his relationship with Kuntala and he decides to own up everything to him.
