After spending ten years in prison, Sultan Bhai (Dharmendra) once an uncrowned king of Bombay is released from the jail and starts living peaceful life in the hearts of Basti people. A journalist is shot to death at the doorstep of Shanti, also a journalist, who swears to bring the culprit Vishtar Nath to book.
