Toffee is the story of two girls belonging to polar ends of the society, brought together by their shared sense of freedom and hopefulness. The story starts with the joining of a new English Teacher Rahul Prakash Udyavar (Shahid Kapoor) in Swaraswati Vidya Mandir school, situated in the outskirts of Mumbai Suburbs. The second wife of kind-hearted and generous Amirchand Bhargav is Durgadevi Bhargav (Nadira), who is exactly the opposite of her late husband.
