The film is about Thomas Kora(Innocent)aged 80, who is the head of a famous family of the middle Travancore region. Residing in the estate bungalow at Peermade, he never looks more than sixty. Once the favorite henchman of Henry Sayip, Kora was presented this bungalow and estate when Henry went back to England. Thereafter people started calling him, Kora Sahib. Kora has five sons and two daughters. His youngest son Joji(Saiju Kurup), was born on the fifty-sixth birthday of Kora. The case gets much publicity and public support, and the judge rules in Malati's favor. At this point however, Malati refuses to marry Suresh and decides to raise the child on her own. In the meantime, Shakuntala dies of a heart attack, and Malati promises her to take care of her daughter, and carry on Shakuntala's work. Years later Suresh and his wife (Ranjeeta), now married for some years and still childless, run into Malati again. Peter D'Souza lives in a small town in India. He is an idealistic and honest young man and wants to serve his country by joining the army. Against his wishes, Brahmhdutt's daughter Sonu marries a poor man Indrajeet Sabharwal, who is already married to Radhika and has a son Vijay, from the latter. Vijay takes off from home and grows up to be a dreaded Don in the city (Govinda). Indrajeet is given the post of a manager in a steel factory owned by Brahmhdutt and Premchand. Indrajeet first exterminates Premchand and indicts Brahmhdutt for the murder. Brahmhdutt is packed off to prison. Indrajeet now takes charge of Brahmhdutt's business empire and throws the latter's wife Sujata on to the streets. Not satisfied with the ill-gotten wealth, Indrajeet now wants to marry Premchand's only daughter and legal heiress Mohini (Madhuri Dixit) in order to usurp more wealth, but when she spurns him, he hires Vijay to wipe out her existence, little knowing that they are in love with each other. Brahmhdutt, in the meantime, completes his term in jail and on release sets about to reform Vijay.
