Sathyaraj is a pilot, works in Indian airlines but only flies government planes. Once a M.P.(villain) calls him and tells him that his daughter who has gone on a tour to Karachi along with her friends is not able to return due to political issues, M.P ask him to bring his daughter safely and Sathyaraj agrees to it. He drives a private helicopter to Karachi to bring her back and he succeeds in it. Sathyaraj unknowingly leaves his Flying license in the helicopter. This is noticed and he is arrested by Nassar the police officer, Sathyaraj's widowed mother & his sister begs the police not to arrest. Nassar files a case on Sathyaraj for terrorist activity & weapons handling. Sathyaraj is released after 2 years.Once while walking with Gautami he sees one of the terrorists whom he had seen while traveling in Karachi. While chasing him in the streets of Mumbai he finds his sister. His sister turned mute after the arrest of her brother & his mother dies after the incident. Finally Sathyaraj plans to expose the M.P to the public red handed but the situation becomes worse when the M.P takes Gautami & his sister as hostages. Prabhu (Uday Kiran) is a college student who does not allow anyone to do wrong. He quite often argues with others to the point where he is repeatedly arressted. When he was younger his foster father (Nizhalgal Ravi), a psychiatrist used to bail him out. In the meantime, Swetha (Diya), the sister of commissioner of police Ravichandra, has been ditching her college classes, so her father has a police eccort take her to school. When she tries to escape from her escort, they pursue her. They cross paths with the troublesome Prabhu, who battles them. In the ensuing fight, Prabhu says 'I love you' to Swetha and she is so impressed by his gallantry, she falls in love. Prabhu then learns that his foster parents are taking him to meet his real father Lakshmi Narayana (Satyaraj) who had been receiving treatment in a mental hospital. He tries to speak with his father, but the man is unresponsive. On the advice of Swetha's father, he takes his father to Kerala for treatment. When there, he meets a former bodyguard of Lakshmi Narayana who tells him that not only was his father the former Election Commissioner, but that his current mental breakdown state was caused by local politician Ramadasu (Vijayan). Coincidentally, Ramadasu has been brought to that same Kerala facility by his own son (Riyaz Khan). Azhagesan (Sathyaraj), a mentally retarded man, loves his cousin Nandini (Prema), a college student. Azhagesan works hard in Neelakandan's house for few coins. Neelakandan (Pithamagan Mahadevan), the village landlord, has a son Sekhar (Manoj K. Jayan) who is a womaniser. Chandra, Nandini's college professor, falls in love with Nandini, he proposes to marry her and she accepts. Sekhar, who has an eye on Nandini, is humiliated and slapped by Nandini. Sekhar evicts Nandini and Nandini's grandmother (Manorama) from their house. Her marriage is immediately stopped and her grandmother falls ill. Azhagesan accommodates them in his house. Nandini's grandmother dies and Nandini is raped by Sekhar. Nandini begins to feel sympathy for Sekhar, she aborts with Neelakandan's daughter support. Neelakandan requests Nandini to come in his house and they can prepare for the marriage but she refuses and Azhagesan humiliates Neelakandan. Sekhar decides to kill Azhagesan. First, he kills Azhagesan's family friend Govinda (Delhi Ganesh). Neelakandan dies because of his illness. Sekhar's henchmen beats Azhagesan and Nandini kills Sekhar.
