A journalist is shot to death at the doorstep of Shanti, also a journalist, who swears to bring the culprit Vishtar Nath to book. She subsequently files a report at the local police station following which her house is searched and drugs are found. She is arrested but later released after an honest police inspector Vikram Singh, learns that the drugs were planted in her house by a police constable. One night Shanti is molested but is saved in the nick of time by a young man Shankar. Shankar comes across evidence that may implicate Vishtar, and he takes it to Assistant Commissioner of Police Rathod. Jai Tilak belongs to a Rajput clan loyal to the kind and just king. However, the Maharaja's wicked son Shamsher Singh usurps the throne by killing the king.
