Anand has been a motorcycle champion for six years in a row. Winning the championship gets him introduced to Uma, the daughter of Thilakavathy; a haughty, rich woman. Uma initially rejects Anand s advances because of his complexion but later falls for his charm. But Thilakavathy deceives Anand and Uma into thinking that she s happy with their union while secretly she s planning to get Uma hitched to someone else.
