"Selvam (Karthik) lives with his friend Bhaskar (Ramesh Khanna) doing small jobs. One day they both decide to steal a Ganesh idol from a temple believing that having a stolen Ganesh idol at home will bring prosperity. They are spotted by the local people around the temple and the two hide in Radha s (Roja) home. Radha works in Viswanthan s (Mouli) home as maid after her mother s death. But actually Radha is the illegitimate daughter of Viswanathan which both of them alone know about. Viswanthan along with his wife has gone to attend a function while Radha alone stays in the home along with Viswanathan s grandchildren. Radha spots Selvam and Ramesh Khanna and locks them in a room mistaking them as thieves. But later realizes their good nature and releases them. One day, Viswanathan s wife Sathyapriya raises an issue that her diamond necklace is missing and accuses Radha for stealing it and sends her out of home. Radha does not want Viswanathan to reveal her true identity and instead leaves the home. Now Selvam meets Radha and gets to know her situation. Selvam joins Radha in a women s hostel and helps her. Bhanumathi passes away and Karthikeyan is now bent on taking revenge.\nNeelakantan loses his home and Karthikeyan ventures out in an attempt to reclaim his ancestral home. In the meantime, Karthikeyan abducts Shekharan's daughter Janaki (Vasundhara Das) in an attempt to blackmail him (Shekharan), during which they fall in love with each other. The remainder of the movie is about how Karthikeyan manages to get his ancestral home back while Shekharan's nephew Mundakkal Rajendran (Vijayaraghavan) makes attempts to kill Karthikeyan, but instead kills Neelakantan by lighting him on fire and gets killed by Neelakantan after a knife throw which decapitates Rajendran. The film starts with two ten year old boys, Nandhu (Srikanth) and Aravind (Aravind Akash), arguing heatedly about Gayathri (Navya Nair) and who loves her the most. A dozen years later and you've got an adult Nandhu who is a student and professional blackmailer, now operating under the aegis of his guru and his associate (Sathyan). Until Gayathri re-emerges, but for Nandhu's distraught, she has already met Aravind who actually has become a doctor. The film starts with Kailasam (Ravi Kale), the somber bigwig is performing the last rites of some one dear to him,but the appearance of Kottai (Jiiva), first in the chaotic Koovagam festival and later atop a Veeranam pipe, swinging a scythe maniacally sets the tone for the rest of the film. Cut to the flashback a few months ago:In madurai, where Kottai's mother (Saranya Ponvannan) is cutting down logs, and boasting about her son: he's a god who deserves to see the outside world and derive its benefits. And so Kottai journeys to big bad Chennai in company with Vellaiyan (Kanja Karuppu), who dances with every karagattam dancer on the roadside, makes lewd jokes and appears to have only one thing on his mind. They end up at the massive home of Kailasam, the local terror who slices up people whenever he can,only, our heroes are unaware of the fact. It's a bit endearing when they go on thinking that all Kailasam does is cut up trees, which is why he requires their aruvaal-making skills. And so Kottai goes to work. So you have Kottai feeding crying children milk, helping men with epileptic seizures and falling in love with the first fair-complexioned, slim beauty he comes across, Gayatri (Poonam Bajwa). Naturally, Gayatri, as the heroine, is also a wonderfully kind-hearted girl, who wears revealing saris, teaches music to students. Kottai's logic for falling in love with her is that she treats him like his own family,you. Meantime, there's yet another villain, Santhosh, Kailasam's son, who goes playing musical instruments, mouthing punch lines and raping women left, right and centre. There's also a remarkably stupid and one-dimensionally portrayed minister (Rajan P. Dev) and a helpless, frustrated cop Surya Prakash (Saikumar) who simply stands like a rock in uniform and he wants to settle score with Kailasam because his son raped and killed his sister. Naturally, Santhosh goes on raping women, Surya Prakash goes on standing still; Kottai goes on making aruvaals ... until Santhosh's catches sight of the ravishing Gayatri, touches her inappropriately and all hell breaks loose. Kottai bashes Santhosh unknowingly that he is the son of the boss. When Kailasam comes to know that Kottai beaten his son to death, he starts revenge on Kottai. In a sub-plot, Marimuthu mets and flirts with an unnamed young lady who comes visiting to his village's annual festival. they organise a kabadi match for festival in which an outbreak in game happens. then they go to madurai for a non-detail known match where saouda muthu is one of the chief. conductors and a coach. he tells it is a state-level tournament with no local teams should participate. then souda muthu separates from his state winning team and coaches vennilah. The titular kabbadi team, Vennilla, finds itself by chance in a State-level tournament as dindigul team give an unknown walkover, with no chance of progressing beyond the first round. The team, however, finds an ally in Souda Muthu (Kishore), a professional kabbadi coach who teaches them the finer nuances of the game. The team progresses through the tournament into the final despite the myriad hurdles and disadvantages, with the help of their coach. In the final, Vennilla struggles initially but manages to fight back into contention in the second half. As the game ends in a tie, players from each team go up individually against each other as a tie-breaker. In the final stages of the head-to-head, Marimuthu wins the game for Vennilla. However, it is revealed later that, Marimuthu dies in the match when he won the winning point. The scene changes to several month later when the unnamed young lady returns to the village festival where she met Marimuthu the previous year. However, his friends, despite noticing her search for him, decide not to reveal to her Marimuthu's demise to spare her the anguish. The plot is a lift from the highly rated comedy crime/thriller English Movie "Lucky Number Slevin". The plot has been indianized to make it relevant to Indian audiences. Everything else in the movie is similar except for the motive of the killings. There is no role for Bruce Willis Character in Laadam. The story begins with Kunjidhapadam (Aravindan) who comes from a small place to the city for an interview and he manages to find place to stay with his distant relative Subramanyam who is actually a defaulter on loans taken on interest. He is absconding but then leaves his key at a secret place. Kunjidhapadam takes the key and stays and he also manages to get a job. On the other hand, there is Angel (Charmy Kaur) who grows as an orphan and works with a mineral water company. She doesn't have a place to stay so she locates those houses without occupants and stays there for a night and gets going in the morning. One such instance gets her to Kunjidhapadam's house. All this apart, there are two dons Pavadai (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and Vembuli (Jayaprakash) who are out to kill each other and Vembuli is successful in killing Pavadai's son. So he vows to kill Vembuli's son by the 12th day ceremony of his son. A twist of fate occurs and Pavadai's goons mistake Kunjidhapadam to be Subrahmanyam and get him to take money. Kunjidhapadam gives an idea to kill Vembuli's son and he is given a 16 day deadline to kill else Pavadai threatens to kill him Vembuli come's to know of this and tries to kill Kunjidhapadam. But he comes alive. After that Kunjidhapadam again meets Angel and tries to get money from her to give it back to Pavadai which his distant relative Subramanyam has to give. At that time Pavadai realizes and confirms that Kunjidhapadam has to kill Vembulies son. He on the way back he mets the opposite gangsters and tries to escape from them. The gangsters get his files which contain his degree certificate. After that he meets Angel and returnes her money, which Pavadai returned with double of the amount and a gun. He meets Angel and both plan to stay in comedy actor Vadivelu's house. After that both follows a men working under Vembulie and went inside a restaurent where he managed to get information about Vembulie's son who is hidden in a moving air bus with lots of securities. And he is in search of the bus and founds. After that he tries to stop the bus and wants to talk with Vembulie's son. He tells all things happened with Pavadai and ask him to give him a job with security from Pavadai. But they plays a life game and ordered not to face again or else he will be killed. After that both went to a ministers house to stay at night and in morning they got caught and they managed to escape from the ministers gang. A police tries to escape them and he brings both to station and mistakenly he makes them to get married. And brought them to his house, because it is 100th marriage done in police station. In house first night has been arranged and at that time both Angel and Kunjidhapadam becomes closer and get good affectionate and both caught in love. Next day he tries to see Vembulie's son who is in a small boat and some of his gangsters were playing in beach and they throws him into the sea. He manages to swim and reaches the boat and asks for his degree certificates. They all played and tornes all his cerfificate and one of the guy from that gang asks him to send his Angel to him for prostitution. Now Kunjidhapadam got angry and kills all in boat and kills Vembulie's son too and brings the body in a small boat to beach where all gangsters were playing and kills all the mens in the gang. After that he brings the body to Vembulie's house and kidnapps Vembuli as well as Pavadai. And keeps both tied in a rock area and murders all. And again joins with Angel and starts back to Hydrabad and the film ends with got good job, they became parent for 2 children's and happy lived. more»
