It's Rocking - Dard-E-Disco is the story of two fun-loving brothers. Rambo (Aryeman Ramsay), and Rocky (Akshay Kapoor), who dream of opening their own discotheque like the happing Dard-E-Disco, owned by disco king DK (Bappi Lahiri). They try to touch base with DK but his secretary, Johny (Asrani), will not let them enter the discotheque without an invitee pass. The two brothers get lucky one day and meet DK who entertains them in his discotheque and even asks them to come over to his office. However, their attempt to meet DK in his office fails as Johny won't allow them. Meanwhile, Powderbhai (Shakti Kapoor) who is constantly trying to sell drugs in Dard-E-Disco keeps meeting with failure as DK won't allow the sale of drugs. According to DK life are music are so intoxicating that nobody needs to crave foe drugs. Finally, when all efforts of Powderbhai and his gang members fail, they kidnap DK. At this juncture Rambo and Rocky along with their girlfriends Geeta (Rituparna Sengupta) and Mili (Sneha Ullal) decide to risk their own lives to save DK. What happens thereafter? The story revolves around Manikyan (Mohanlal), Sreekrishnan(Nedumudi Venu) and Karthumbi (Shobana) and the love triangle between them. Manikyan works for Sreekrishnan and Sreekrishnan sees him like a brother. Once when they both are returning from a Mela after shopping, Sreekrishnan sees Karthumbi and gets attracted. But then a fight erupts there and they all have to flee. Sreekrishnan flees alone while Manikyan has to take Karthumbi with him. At night, he flees in the opposite direction and so loses his way. Karthumbi knows the way back but she pretends as if she does not know it and enjoys the fun. Manikyan has to struggle to get out of that place. During that time they fall in love.Once they are back in Manikyan's village, Sreekrishnan proposes her and plans to get married to her. Manikyan can not resist because Sreekrishnan is like an elder brother to him. But Karthumbi opposes. When Sreekrishnan gets to know about this, he gets angry and Manikyan becomes his enemy and he tries to take revenge. Surendra is a rich man's son who leaves his father's home to live as a vagabond. He encounters the heroine who is very poor and has nothing to eat. He gives her some rotis. Police mistake him for a thief, brings him to the police station where he is bailed out by his father's Munshi. Meanwhile the heroine's brother comes under a car and dies. She being bankrupt, leaves the house. They meet again in a train and fall in love. But the train falls off the track and suffers an accident. The heroine loses her memory and in a lost state of mind walks out of the hospital into a professor's house nearby. He takes pity on her and allows her to live in his house. He begins liking her and knows of her from the doctor who attended her in the hospital. They plan to get married but Surendra who is a former student of professor finds her and appeals to the professor to let her go and let them marry.
