But he is shocked to find out that Rajat Naidu himself is a part of the gang, who shoots down Kurien to save himself. A few months later, Gyanashekhara Varma (Murali), DG of Vigilance Department makes a controversial press conference, in which he alleges the role of hawala transactions in the sudden rise in the crimes in the state. His statements were directly pointed at seniors in the state cabinet and police department. Varma is summoned by the chief minister in the presence of John Varghese (Siddique), Rajya Sabha MP, and is warned of serious actions unless he gives a proper explanation in the next couple of days. Instead of falling in lines of CM, Varma threatens him of further revelations in coming days. The next morning Varma is found dead in his bedroom. John Varghese, an MP with strong foreign relations is also involved in several hawala dealings taking place in the state including terror activities. Senior police officer Chandrashekhar IPS (Suresh Gopi)is appointed to solve the mystery of Varma's death. Chandrasekhar is assisted by Joseph Pothen (Saikumar) and Sudev Sachidanand. In the meantime, Suhara Ahmed (Gopika), a young journalist along with her friend Kishore is found missing. She is believed to have certain sensational information regarding minister Vakkachan (Rajan P. Dev). Chandrasekhar meets Vivekam Ahmed Sahib (Janardhanan), her father, who leads him to the personal computer of Suhara, which sheds light to certain truths. One day, Suhara is found in midst of a forest, critically wounded. Chandrasekhar gets her hospitalized, but her life is targeted many times. Chandrasekhar finds out shocking information regarding the anti-national activities of Vakachan along with John Varghese from the videotapes of Suhara. Vakkachan is forced to resign from the cabinet and is arrested by Chandrasekhar, who then follows John Varghese. He follows Vargeese to the seaport, from where he is planning to escape to Turkey. But, just minutes before he leaves the coast, Varghese is stopped by Chandrasekhar, who also finds out that his subordinate Sudev Sachidanand is none other than Musafir, an ISI agent who is also the murderer of Varma and Kishore, the friend of Suhara. Sivaji is a highly respectable man in his village. He works tirelessly for the welfare of his society and hardly spends time with his wife Padmini. Padmini has no child after many years of marriage. Jaishankar is Sivaji's younger brother and is in love with Vanisri, daughter of Nambiar who is the owner of a grocery store. Nambiar adulterates almost all his products in his shop and sells them at a highly priced rate. People got no choice but to buy stuff for their daily life as this is the only grocery shop in the entire village. Sivaji puts a full stop to this by inaugurating a grocery shop owned by the village cooperative society, after which Nambiar begins to incur losses as people no longer buy from his shop. After knowing that his daughter is in love with Sivaji brother, Nambiar plans to make use of this to separate the brothers. Sivaji is initially reluctant to this marriage, but agrees eventually after talkin g to Vanisri and learning about her good character. Post their marriage, Padmini and Vanisri lead the family like un-biological sisters. Vanisri pays no heed to her parents whom wanted a separate share for Jaishankar and herself. Their motive goes in vain. Both Padmini and Vanisri get conceived at the same time and during the child birth, ironically Vanisri baby is born dead. Unknown to Vanisri, Padmini gives her son to her. Nambiar persuade Jaishankar to ask for his family share and Sivaji is shocked to hear this. Sivaji, in an emotional climax gives his brother 2 choices, either to chose him or his entire family wealth in a subtle way.
