Ganesh (Narain) is the slum boy who drives an auto to support his family. Bhuvana is the neglected daughter of a rich man and is in search of true love. Bhuvana (Deepa) is drawn to Ganesh's honesty and good heart. She confesses her love to him but he turns her away saying that a rich girl like her would never be able to live a life of poverty with him. Bhuvana tells him that she will show him she can do it and comes to Ganesh's house with just the clothes on her self. As Bhuvana and Ganesh share a happy love and understanding, life is all roses till a storm disrupts their happiness. Bhuvana meets with an accident and fights for her life. Doctors say nothing but a heart transplant could save her. The hero has neither heart nor money for the operation. Ganesh is unable to bear the thought of a life without Bhuvana. He is so feverish in his thoughts he decides to donate his own heart to her. In a scene Ganesh is seen whispering to her unconscious and bedridden in the hospital that he is one of the few luckiest who sacrifice their heart for their lover. As it's against medical ethics the doctor who treats Bhuvana takes a strong objection to Ganesh fanatic thoughts. But Ganesh is so adamant in his demand that he takes a revolver and thrusts its barrel into his mouth and declares that he is going to kill himself right on, unless doctor is willing to transplant his heart to Bhuvana. With no other option the doctor agrees. Then Ganesh is seen sitting on the bed of the hospital relishing the beautiful moments he spent with Bhuvana and slowly he puts the barrel of the revolver on his head and presses the trigger. This picture is almost a remake of a Hollywood movie : 'John Q': only change is - the son's character is substituted by 'Lady love'. more»

The story unfolds in a remote village near Palani called Kanakkanpatti with a poor goat-herd, Marimuthu as its protagonist who lost education as his father died @ his age of 13, he also plays kabhadi very well. Marimuthu along with his childhood friends Ayyappan (Vairavan), Sekar (Nithish), Murthy (Sundar), Appu Kutty (Appu Kutty), suri (parota suri) and Pandi (Pandi) are kabbadi players who dream of winning a local tournament. sekar is a rich short tempered rice mill owner, appu kutty is a short,tea shop owner who often gets a heavy scolding from his old mother-in-law, suri is a very newly wed man who has only one hobby of eating many (max 100 parottas per meal, pandi is a big fat local stores owner who is a son of an ex-army man.This despite their team, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (Full-Moon Kabbadi Team), being infamous for never having won a match ever. In a sub-plot, Marimuthu mets and flirts with an unnamed young lady who comes visiting to his village's annual festival. they organise a kabadi match for festival in which an outbreak in game happens. then they go to madurai for a non-detail known match where saouda muthu is one of the chief. conductors and a coach. he tells it is a state-level tournament with no local teams should participate. then souda muthu separates from his state winning team and coaches vennilah. The titular kabbadi team, Vennilla, finds itself by chance in a State-level tournament as dindigul team give an unknown walkover, with no chance of progressing beyond the first round. The team, however, finds an ally in Souda Muthu (Kishore), a professional kabbadi coach who teaches them the finer nuances of the game. The team progresses through the tournament into the final despite the myriad hurdles and disadvantages, with the help of their coach. In the final, Vennilla struggles initially but manages to fight back into contention in the second half. As the game ends in a tie, players from each team go up individually against each other as a tie-breaker. In the final stages of the head-to-head, Marimuthu wins the game for Vennilla. However, it is revealed later that, Marimuthu dies in the match when he won the winning point. The scene changes to several month later when the unnamed young lady returns to the village festival where she met Marimuthu the previous year. However, his friends, despite noticing her search for him, decide not to reveal to her Marimuthu's demise to spare her the anguish. The movie ends ambiguously, with the unnamed lady leaving the village without knowing Marimuthu's fate. more»

Prabhu (Uday Kiran) is a college student who does not allow anyone to do wrong. He quite often argues with others to the point where he is repeatedly arressted. When he was younger his foster father (Nizhalgal Ravi), a psychiatrist used to bail him out. In the meantime, Swetha (Diya), the sister of commissioner of police Ravichandra, has been ditching her college classes, so her father has a police eccort take her to school. When she tries to escape from her escort, they pursue her. They cross paths with the troublesome Prabhu, who battles them. In the ensuing fight, Prabhu says 'I love you' to Swetha and she is so impressed by his gallantry, she falls in love. Prabhu then learns that his foster parents are taking him to meet his real father Lakshmi Narayana (Satyaraj) who had been receiving treatment in a mental hospital. He tries to speak with his father, but the man is unresponsive. On the advice of Swetha's father, he takes his father to Kerala for treatment. When there, he meets a former bodyguard of Lakshmi Narayana who tells him that not only was his father the former Election Commissioner, but that his current mental breakdown state was caused by local politician Ramadasu (Vijayan). Coincidentally, Ramadasu has been brought to that same Kerala facility by his own son (Riyaz Khan). When Ramadasu's son learns that his father's former enemy Lakshmi is still alive, he attempts to kill him. more»
