Arunagiri (T. M. Soundararajan) was born in the town of Thiruvannamalai in Tami Nadu. Arunagiri was attracted to the pleasures of the flesh and spent his youth in pursuing a life of debauchery. He frequently visited the devadasi Maragatham (C. Lakshmi Rajyam). His sister Aadhi Lakshmi (B. S. Saroja) tries to reform her brother, Arunagiri, so she arranged his marriage with Gnana Valli (Sharadha). And Arunagiri was feeling unhappy in his married life. He neglects his wife and continues in his bad ways. He persuades his sister to sell all their property and their house to get money for his dissipation. He reduces himself, his wife and sister to dire poverty. His sister gave him what ever money she earned herself, to make her brother happy. It was said that since he was used to enjoying his life in debauchery, he started to suffer from leprosy and people were avoiding him. There came a time when his sister had no money to meet his demands for his dissipated life. Arunagiri said he was going to end his life because of this. To prevent Arunagiri from killing himself, his sister says that he should sell her in order to have money for prostitutes. Since he had leprosy, prostitutes could avoid him and if that were the case, Arunagiri's sister says she will offer herself to him, to stop Arunagiri from committing suicide. Hearing this shocks him to the core and changes his outlook. Till that time, he was uncaring about the consequences to his family because of his depraved lifestyle. Veera Pandi (Raj Kiran) is a powerful and rich man in Pandiapuram, Sivagangai district. Selvam (Dhanush) is his son who is a lot more responsible and affectionate towards his family. The story unfolds in a remote village near Palani called Kanakkanpatti with a poor goat-herd, Marimuthu as its protagonist who lost education as his father died @ his age of 13, he also plays kabhadi very well. Marimuthu along with his childhood friends Ayyappan (Vairavan), Sekar (Nithish), Murthy (Sundar), Appu Kutty (Appu Kutty), suri (parota suri) and Pandi (Pandi) are kabbadi players who dream of winning a local tournament. sekar is a rich short tempered rice mill owner, appu kutty is a short,tea shop owner who often gets a heavy scolding from his old mother-in-law, suri is a very newly wed man who has only one hobby of eating many (max 100 parottas per meal, pandi is a big fat local stores owner who is a son of an ex-army man.This despite their team, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (Full-Moon Kabbadi Team), being infamous for never having won a match ever. In a sub-plot, Marimuthu mets and flirts with an unnamed young lady who comes visiting to his village's annual festival. they organise a kabadi match for festival in which an outbreak in game happens. then they go to madurai for a non-detail known match where saouda muthu is one of the chief. conductors and a coach. he tells it is a state-level tournament with no local teams should participate. then souda muthu separates from his state winning team and coaches vennilah. The titular kabbadi team, Vennilla, finds itself by chance in a State-level tournament as dindigul team give an unknown walkover, with no chance of progressing beyond the first round. The team, however, finds an ally in Souda Muthu (Kishore), a professional kabbadi coach who teaches them the finer nuances of the game. The team progresses through the tournament into the final despite the myriad hurdles and disadvantages, with the help of their coach. In the final, Vennilla struggles initially but manages to fight back into contention in the second half. As the game ends in a tie, players from each team go up individually against each other as a tie-breaker. In the final stages of the head-to-head, Marimuthu wins the game for Vennilla. However, it is revealed later that, Marimuthu dies in the match when he won the winning point. The scene changes to several month later when the unnamed young lady returns to the village festival where she met Marimuthu the previous year. However, his friends, despite noticing her search for him, decide not to reveal to her Marimuthu's demise to spare her the anguish. Prabhu (Uday Kiran) is a college student who does not allow anyone to do wrong. He quite often argues with others to the point where he is repeatedly arressted. When he was younger his foster father (Nizhalgal Ravi), a psychiatrist used to bail him out. In the meantime, Swetha (Diya), the sister of commissioner of police Ravichandra, has been ditching her college classes, so her father has a police eccort take her to school. When she tries to escape from her escort, they pursue her. They cross paths with the troublesome Prabhu, who battles them. In the ensuing fight, Prabhu says 'I love you' to Swetha and she is so impressed by his gallantry, she falls in love. Prabhu then learns that his foster parents are taking him to meet his real father Lakshmi Narayana (Satyaraj) who had been receiving treatment in a mental hospital. He tries to speak with his father, but the man is unresponsive. On the advice of Swetha's father, he takes his father to Kerala for treatment. When there, he meets a former bodyguard of Lakshmi Narayana who tells him that not only was his father the former Election Commissioner, but that his current mental breakdown state was caused by local politician Ramadasu (Vijayan). Coincidentally, Ramadasu has been brought to that same Kerala facility by his own son (Riyaz Khan). The story begins when a teen named Suri escapes and finds a drug dealer tormenting some little boys. Suri guns down the drug dealer. One of the boys, Raghava expresses his wish to join him. But only till Feroz (Kelly Dorjee) enters the scene. Feroz is a feared don throughout India and he wants to add Andhra Pradesh to his underworld fiefdom. That s what sets off the battle of the dons. Suri begins to upset Feroz, because Suri refuses to work with Feroz. In many attempts to kill Suri, Feroz's men get killed. One man (Kota Srinivasa Rao) wants to kill Raghava. Eventually, Don lets Raghava kill the man because the man also hosted a hideout for Feroz's men in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Don falls in love with Priya (because of the three things he wants in his wife: to be kind, beautiful, and not to be afraid of him), at first she doesn't like him but later she also begins to like him. Raghava also finds a girl he likes. In that process, Raghava is cornered, where his fiance Nandhini, ends up being on the villains side. Raghava is killed. In a final meet between Suri & Feroz, Feroz returns Raghava's bullet ridden body and challenges Suri for a fight on a condition that 'A person will lose 2 of his men for each fall he takes'. Angered & heartbroken on Raghava's death, Suri accepts his challenge. As the fight progresses, Suri loses 2 of his men. Determined to win, Suri continues the fight and thrashes up Feroz & his two well trained women bodyguards. Siddharth/Siddhu (Shanthnoo), the son of a school principal, runs away from his home due to failing in his higher secondary exams. He meets Pavithra (Chandini) who has likewise failed, and the two travel to Chennai, with Siddu planning to commit suicide after enjoying himself for a few days. They eventually fall in love and decide to start a new life. After a host of misadventures, including one where Siddu crosses paths with a brutal policeman, they discover that Pavithra has actually passed her exams with distinction. When she realizes that Siddu had initially tried to hide this fact from her (since he found out first), she runs back to her house and joins a medical course. Siddu attempts to get her back, staying in a barbershop owned by a local (Ganja Karuppu). There, he has to contend with Pavithra's murderous father, her eccentric uncle who determines to marry her, and a Gujarati woman who falls in love with Siddu. These elements, along with the policeman attempting to kill him in an encounter, come together in the final act to threaten Siddu and his love life. The story is about four friends and one of them sacrifices his life for the sake of friendship. Premji, Vijay Vasanth, and Nithin Sathya are close friends. Ajay Raj, who is out to avenge the killing of his younger sister by her boyfriend, also joins these friends. In this situation, a rowdy's daughter, Jennifer, loves Ajay, but he does not reciprocate. He has to first kill the person who cheated his sister and took her life. When it is known that it is Nitin Sathya who is the culprit, Ajay picks up an 'aruval' and rushes to confront Nitin. Arjun (Arya), a London-based disc jockey, leads a happy life. Also there is Anu (Shriya Saran), who completes her MBA in a London university. One day, Arjun is forced to come to his native village in Karaikudi to ensure that his ancestral property is not sold. Also Anu too is forced to come to Madurai to meet her father who is injured in an accident. The two strangers meet in a train. There begins their journey towards their respective destinations. Meanwhile, a diary of Arjun's father pops out from his bag. He browses through it to understand his dad's love life. In flashback, the movie goes back to 1985. It is revealed that Sekar (Arya) returns to his village after getting selected as a Police. He falls in love with Meena (Preetika). But when their romance is revealed, Sekar's family resists the relationship due to class differences. A dejected Sekar leaves to begin training as a police officer. There he becomes acquainted with Ammaiappan (Anoop kumar), a young colleague. He comes to know that Ammayappan is in love with his uncle's daughter. A sequence of events reveals that both men love the same girl Meena. Returning to the film's contemporary setting, we find that Arjun and Anu after crossing several hurdles in their journey reach their respective houses. They then realise that they have fallen for each other. Meanwhile, the film employs a Deus Ex Machina, in the form of Anu s father, to ensure all story arcs are resolved. When Anu's father Ammaiappan realiases that Anu is in love with Sekar's son he immediately approves of their relationship. It is implied that Anu and Arjun are then to stay together. more»

SRK (Sayaji Shinde) is a real estate contractor. He uses muscle power to encroach land and make money. His business rival Gopala Krishna "GK" (Nagarjuna) is the 'Boss' of GK Constructions. GK has the power to handle goons as well as the real estate business. He calls for applications from MBA graduates as his personal secretary. None of the applicants reach his expectations. He accidentally meets Anuradha "Anu" (Nayantara) and thinks that she is fit for the job. As a 'Boss' he is tough with his staff but has lots of concern over them. During a trip to Malaysia, Anu and GK get closer and Anu loses her heart to GK. When she is about to confess her love, Anu gets involved in a petty issue and faces the wrath of GK. Consequently, she requested to resign from her job, while she is on duty for her last one month, GK calls for interviews for his personal secretary again and zeroes in on Sruthi (Poonam Bajwa). It is revealed that she was planted in GK's office by SRK. In order to get her father Ramamurthy released from a false case, Sruthi steals a tender file. However, she does not hand it over to SRK and demands her father's release. The crooked SRK does not listen to her. At this juncture, she tries to escape from the scene and is saved by GK at the insistence of Anu. However, Anu is injured in the attack by goons in the process, but goes straight to the Tenders office and files the tender to save GK from a huge loss and to fulfill his ambition of securing his dream project. When GK is about to thank her, she admits her love for him, only to learn of his past. In the flashback, GK reveals that he loved Sanjana (Shriya) and married her. She died in a tsunami shortly after. He says he can't replace Sanjana. GK refuses Anu's love politely. As time goes by, Sanjana's mother Sumitra (Sumalatha) dies of illness in Malaysia and her husband Viswanath (Nasar) tells GK that her last wish is the marriage of GK with Anu. GK also gets a feeling that Sanjana also wants the same. He returns to India and unites with Anu and the film ends on a happy note. more»

They then see that the man who murdered the collector is the chief of the village, Periyanna (Vijayakanth) so they try to oppose him. In their time at the village, they learn about his past and change their mind about him. He promises them to get them married.
