Muskan and Jay love each other however at the insistence of her parents, Muskan marries a rich businessman, Sunny Leading a heartbroken Jay to commits suicide. While Sunny and Muskan, happily married, go on their honeymoon to a resort in Kerala. Sunny starts seeing Jay's ghost in several forms making him delirious and leaving Muskan wanting to go back. As the duo miss their flight, the duo is stuck at the resort, where Sunny continues to see Jay's ghost. Advocate Raja Shekaram (N. T. Rama Rao) most loyal and respectable person in a village he leads a happy family life with his wife Kamala (Savitri) who is timid and short-tempered younger brother Krishna (Krishna) who involves himself with unnecessary quarrels in the village. Kamala tries to protect Krishna from these quarrels. Kamala's father saves 1 lakh rupees with Nagaraju (Nagabhushanam), the landlord of their village. One day when Kamala goes to Nagaraju's house for collecting her money he asks her to come some other day to collect the amount, on her way back to her home she witnesses a murder done by Nagaraju's acolyte creating fear in her. Meanwhile, Rajashekaram gets into trouble with Nagaraju regarding some land issue on behalf of the villagers and also helps his brother Raghava (Sobhan Babu) to marry without his permission which irritates him. When Kamala goes again to collect her money from Nagaraju, he warns her that he will take revenge against her husband. On hearing this Krishna, who accompanies her gets angry and warns Nagaraju. Angered at this, Nagaraju puts up the false case on Krishna accusing of beating him in his house and surprisingly Kamala also admits to it. Anand Narayan comes from a poor family, which consists of his wife, Gayatri, daughter, Kamla and two sons Madhu and Govind. Through hard work, Anand starts on his way to success. He meets with Nekiram, who becomes his business partner and also his samdhi (in-law) as his daughter is in love with Madhu. Both get married in a simple ceremony. After this marriage, both Nekiram and Anand and his family work hard at preparing food in a small sweet shop. Lord Krishna then appears to Anand who asks the Lord for material success. After this meeting Anand's Dhaba grows into a restaurant, then a larger fancier restaurant, finally a five star hotel. Now Anand and his family are all wealthy and live in a palatial home. Bhagwan Shri Krishna regularly visits him and asks about him and his family. Anand proudly takes all the credit and asks Krishna to accompany him to see his success and his hotel. Bhagwan Krishna declines, but agrees to do so later. Things don't go quite as well for Anand, when he finds out that Nekiram has been cheating him. Nekiram leaves the house, but Madhu accompanies him. Then Anand finds that Govind has been squandering money and time on women and alcohol and to top his disappointment Kamla gets pregnant. When Bhagwan Krishna comes to visit Anand again, he admits that he is a failure, his health is poor, and his family are all strangers to him.
