Shakti is the story of a strong woman police officer Shakti. Shakti is raised to be a strong woman by her grandpa. She becomes an IPS officer and fulfills her grandpa's dream. She gets married to a doctor and gives birth to a son. In Darjeeling she encounters a dangerous criminal Arjun Singh who injures her husband badly. Maya, the governess of her son escapes with her son. She thinks that she has lost her son forever. Maya takes shelter in her brother's house in Kolkata.
