A story of a young girl in pursuit of her dream of becoming big in the fashion industry, Gul comes to Mumbai from Jaiper to joins Vivek's company. Soon, she complains to him about Adi, her senior, who seeks sexual favours from her for accepting her design submissions. This is her way of getting back at Adi, with whom she had to sleep with before. She soon becomes Vivek's blue-eyed employee and is promoted, but stabs him in the back when she gets a far more lucrative job offer from his competitor, Ravi Bajaj. Before long, she ditches Ravi Bajaj too to join Xavier. Gul's mother, Shobha, always reminds Gul to maintain a diary to record her day-to-day events, as she feels it would serve as a mirror to her life. Basanti is Lata's friend. In one of her novels, Lata writes the story of Childhood friendship of Chander and Lata. Chander reads it and writes a letter to Renu (Lata) to find out how she knows of this story and if she knows Lata, then helping him to find Lata. Reading that letter, Basanti forces Lata to call Chander to meet plotting that Basanti will meet Chander as Lata. Basanti meets Chander there and falls in love with Chander. Chander was carrying the watch gifted by Lata to him all the time, that he looses when Basanti meets him and Basanti locates it. Seeing the watch, Lata recognizes it and recognizes Chander. Basanti feels hurt and blames Lata that she was knowing that Basanti was in love with Chander even then Lata didn't tell her that Chander is the same guy who Lata herself is in love with. Surendra is a rich man's son who leaves his father's home to live as a vagabond. He encounters the heroine who is very poor and has nothing to eat. He gives her some rotis. She being bankrupt, leaves the house. They meet again in a train and fall in love. But the train falls off the track and suffers an accident. The heroine loses her memory and in a lost state of mind walks out of the hospital into a professor's house nearby. He takes pity on her and allows her to live in his house. He begins liking her and knows of her from the doctor who attended her in the hospital. They plan to get married but Surendra who is a former student of professor finds her and appeals to the professor to let her go and let them marry.
