Businessman Vetri plans to buy a school and turn it into a resort. However, his rival businessman Senthil has an eye on the property too. On parallel lines, three childhood friends Dev, Sathish and Kumar scare people to earn quick money. Helping them in their infamous ordeal is an aspiring actress Priya and a film makeup artist Joseph. Having a successful streak so far, one day they decide to scare Vetri but they end up getting caught. To their surprise, Vetri is totally impressed with their tactics and he decides to hire them to scare Senthil. They agree and what ensues later is a roller coaster ride of spook-comedy because they soon realize that the school is actually haunted!

Bhavani (Sneha), an honest police officer in Hyderabad, is posted as Assistant Commissioner of police in Tirunelveli upon the request of Tamil Nadu government. The town is controlled by Sivalingam (Kota Srinivasa Rao), a rich and influential baddie and an aspiring politician. He indulges in all unlawful activities. Bhavani resolves to put an end to all his acts. Meanwhile there is one Surya (Sampath Raj), who voices against Sivalingam. As it happens, Sivalingam's son Ranjith (Aryan) plays spoilsport in the life of Bhavani's sister, Deepa (Yasmin Khan). Efforts to prove him guilty by Bhavani end in vain. Now a conspiracy is hatched by Bhavani in the company of Suriya and Ranjith gets killed. An enraged Sivalingam takes Bhavani head-on. Sivalingam vows vengeance and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

The story is set in a suburb of Madurai. Suryan (Bharath) and Chandran (Bharath) are twins. Suryan, the elder of the two is soft spoken guy who works at a local lending library and he falls in love with Manimekala (Bhavana), daughter of Namasivayam (Mahadevan) the local politician-don and MLA. Chandran, the younger one, works as a mortuary assistant in the local government hospital and he's one among Namasivayam's bad guys who are in charge of his election campaign. Chandran is romantically linked to a local girl,Tamizhselvi (Sandhya). Namasivayam comes to know about his daughter's love affair with Suryan and he orders to some killers to kill Suryan. But accidentally they attack Chandran who succeeds in escaping from them.
