Siddharth/Siddhu (Shanthnoo), the son of a school principal, runs away from his home due to failing in his higher secondary exams. He meets Pavithra (Chandini) who has likewise failed, and the two travel to Chennai, with Siddu planning to commit suicide after enjoying himself for a few days. They eventually fall in love and decide to start a new life. After a host of misadventures, including one where Siddu crosses paths with a brutal policeman, they discover that Pavithra has actually passed her exams with distinction. When she realizes that Siddu had initially tried to hide this fact from her (since he found out first), she runs back to her house and joins a medical course. Siddu attempts to get her back, staying in a barbershop owned by a local (Ganja Karuppu). There, he has to contend with Pavithra's murderous father, her eccentric uncle who determines to marry her, and a Gujarati woman who falls in love with Siddu. These elements, along with the policeman attempting to kill him in an encounter, come together in the final act to threaten Siddu and his love life. The plot is a lift from the highly rated comedy crime/thriller English Movie "Lucky Number Slevin". The plot has been indianized to make it relevant to Indian audiences. Everything else in the movie is similar except for the motive of the killings. There is no role for Bruce Willis Character in Laadam. The story begins with Kunjidhapadam (Aravindan) who comes from a small place to the city for an interview and he manages to find place to stay with his distant relative Subramanyam who is actually a defaulter on loans taken on interest. He is absconding but then leaves his key at a secret place. Kunjidhapadam takes the key and stays and he also manages to get a job. On the other hand, there is Angel (Charmy Kaur) who grows as an orphan and works with a mineral water company. She doesn't have a place to stay so she locates those houses without occupants and stays there for a night and gets going in the morning. One such instance gets her to Kunjidhapadam's house. All this apart, there are two dons Pavadai (Kota Srinivasa Rao) and Vembuli (Jayaprakash) who are out to kill each other and Vembuli is successful in killing Pavadai's son. So he vows to kill Vembuli's son by the 12th day ceremony of his son. A twist of fate occurs and Pavadai's goons mistake Kunjidhapadam to be Subrahmanyam and get him to take money. Kunjidhapadam gives an idea to kill Vembuli's son and he is given a 16 day deadline to kill else Pavadai threatens to kill him Vembuli come's to know of this and tries to kill Kunjidhapadam. But he comes alive. After that Kunjidhapadam again meets Angel and tries to get money from her to give it back to Pavadai which his distant relative Subramanyam has to give. At that time Pavadai realizes and confirms that Kunjidhapadam has to kill Vembulies son. He on the way back he mets the opposite gangsters and tries to escape from them. The gangsters get his files which contain his degree certificate. After that he meets Angel and returnes her money, which Pavadai returned with double of the amount and a gun. He meets Angel and both plan to stay in comedy actor Vadivelu's house. After that both follows a men working under Vembulie and went inside a restaurent where he managed to get information about Vembulie's son who is hidden in a moving air bus with lots of securities. And he is in search of the bus and founds. After that he tries to stop the bus and wants to talk with Vembulie's son. He tells all things happened with Pavadai and ask him to give him a job with security from Pavadai. But they plays a life game and ordered not to face again or else he will be killed. After that both went to a ministers house to stay at night and in morning they got caught and they managed to escape from the ministers gang. A police tries to escape them and he brings both to station and mistakenly he makes them to get married. And brought them to his house, because it is 100th marriage done in police station. In house first night has been arranged and at that time both Angel and Kunjidhapadam becomes closer and get good affectionate and both caught in love. Next day he tries to see Vembulie's son who is in a small boat and some of his gangsters were playing in beach and they throws him into the sea. He manages to swim and reaches the boat and asks for his degree certificates. They all played and tornes all his cerfificate and one of the guy from that gang asks him to send his Angel to him for prostitution. Now Kunjidhapadam got angry and kills all in boat and kills Vembulie's son too and brings the body in a small boat to beach where all gangsters were playing and kills all the mens in the gang. After that he brings the body to Vembulie's house and kidnapps Vembuli as well as Pavadai. And keeps both tied in a rock area and murders all. And again joins with Angel and starts back to Hydrabad and the film ends with got good job, they became parent for 2 children's and happy lived. more»

Lingam (Sakthi), the younger son of Nasser, leads life in his own way. He along with his set of friends (which includes Santhanam and 'Lollu Sabha' Jeeva) goes around town enjoying. Vetrivel (Vijay (actor) is a race car driver who lives with his large family in Chennai. His father, Singamuthu (Manivannan) had gone to Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh for work at a colliery and never returned, prompting Vetrivel and his family to think he is dead. Vetrivel comes to know that a gentleman named Koccha (Suman) owes his father a huge sum of money. Finding that Koccha is based in Malaysia, Vetrivel and his friend Pons (Vivek) fly to Malaysia, as Kuruvi, the trade jargon for low-level contraband carriers. He steps into the group at a time when internal rivalry and problems are surfacing in Koccha's family. Koccha's darling sister Devi (Trisha Krishnan) has refused to marry the former's business associate Konda Reddy's (Ashish Vidyarthi) brother, the boy approved by her family members. Irritated and preoccupied, nobody wants to devote any time or attention to resolve Vetrivel's problem. Vetrivel is abused, harassed, suffers more ill-treatment and is thrown out of Koccha's place without any help rendered. These callous actions enrage the young man. Totally enraged, with a do-or-die attitude, deciding to get his work done no matter who gets hurt, Vetri becomes a veritable suicide machine and launches into a terrific scuffle with the dangerous gang. Determined to return only after the issue is solved to his satisfaction, motivated by an urge to reveal the truth, Vetrivel conceals himself in Koccha's palace-like residence. He returns to India after stealing a large diamond that was in Koccha's possession. Devi follows Vetrivel and comes to India too, having fallen in love with Vetrivel. Knowing that Vetrivel has taken his diamond Koccha and his gang visit Vetrivel's house and threaten his family. After confronting Koccha, Vetrivel comes to know that his father is not dead, but is being held as bonded labor along with many innocent people in Kadapa. Singamuthu had discovered diamonds at the collieries but refused to allow Koccha and Konda Reddy to illegally mine the diamonds, saying that the diamonds should go to the government. He had been held in Kadapa since. Vetrivel goes to Kadapa and discovers a slave camp run by Koccha and Konda Reddy at the collieries, where a womanising rowdy sheeter, Kadapa Mohan, is torturing the inmates. Vetrivel first encounters Koccha in Kadapa and throws him into a moving train, paralysing him. Then he single-handedly takes on Kadapa Mohan and Konda Reddy, killing them. When the paralysed Koccha sees Konda Reddy's dead body, he recovers and attempts to shoot Vetrivel, but is then arrested by a special task force led by Raj (Nassar). Singamuthu and the others who were imprisoned in the slave camp are finally freed. more»

Aadhavan (Surya) is a professional killer/hit-man who works for Ibrahim Rowther (Sayaji Shinde) who is also his father along with Tharani (Anand Babu)- who is his brother. He is contracted by Abdul Kulkarny (Rahul Dev) to kill prominent Judge Subramaniam (Murali)(who is presently working on child kidnapping and murder cases in the eastern Indian belt for sale of their organs to foreign countries) -but fails to shoot him at the first attempt. He promises to get the judge, angry with himself for having missed such a thing and uses the Judge's innocent servant Bannerjee (Vadivelu) to get into the house as Murugan, Bannerjee's brother in law (He locks up Bannerjee's actual brother in law Murugan in a ship and threatens Bannerjee with his name all the time). Slowly Murugan/Aadhavan- begins to win over the members of the Judge's household- the Judge's mother (B.Saroja Devi), his other relatives and finally his niece- Thara(Nayantara). He tries to assassinate the judge in the middle of the night and also by planting a bomb in the van by which the judge is travelling to Darjeeling- but both attempts fail. In Darjeeling, Aadhavan is handed over a guitar belonging to the madcap, wanna be musician, would be husband of Thara- Ilaiman (Ramesh Khanna) by Thara to hide away. He plants a mobile bomb in the guitar and places it in one of the cars which soon explodes. Thara is now suspicious but Murugan informs her in secret that he is in fact the Judge's runaway son Madhavan who ran away from home when he was only ten years old. Thara soon informs all the members of the household except the Judge that Murugan is Madhavan- although in private Muruguan tells Bannerjee that he was only joking and that he is not Madhavan. However on Thara's birthday- Aadhavan shows that he is indeed Madhavan- when in a flashback it is shown that- young Madhavan carried a gift for Thara where a bomb had been planted by Madhavan's friend's mother as an act of revenge (Madhavan's father had put her husband in jail). Though Thara survives, her mother (Anu Hassan) opens the box and is killed along with her husband in the bomb explosion. Madhavan runs away from home- after stealing a gun from the cops, accidentally shooting his father and killing his friend's mother who planted the bomb in the toy. Meanwhile- Abdul Kulkarny is fed up with the attempts of Aadhavan and Ibrahim Rowther and decides to play his cards in another way. He persuades Ibrahim and his gang to surrender to the police and make a confession regarding Aadhavan. When Police ACP (Riaz Khan) confronts Aadhavan and is about to have him hauled off - Aadhavan takes the Judge hostage and also Thara (after asking Thara to bring the Laptop and the Memory stick where the entire information about the culprits involved in the child kidnappings and murder case is stored in). In the meanwhile the police commissioner arrives and makes the confession. Aadhavan is actually indeed Madhavan- the Judge's runaway son. The police had caught him when he was making his escape after his attempt to kill the Judge had failed. It was then that he made his confession of being the Judge's son. The Police ask him to go back to the house to protect his father over a twenty four hour period everyday.This information is relayed to the Judge who is tearfully grateful to his son Meanwhile- Abdul Kulkarny attacks the vechicle in which the Judge, his son and Thara are travelling and a fight ensues where the good guys win and Kulkarny is killed. And the movie ends with a recovered Madhavan and Banerjee tells that he bought assistants to maintain the house who are his brother-in-laws and everyone tells what the story starts again. more»
