The year is 2009. The world has been struck by the financial meltdown. Nick Mathur and Jerry Patel live happily in their comfortable pad in London until they fall prey to the global situation as Nick's company decides to downsize and unceremoniously fires him. Vijay is the managing director of a large shipping corporation. He lives in a joint family with his father (Nambiar), two brothers (Radharavi and Dhamu), their wives and children and a spinster sister (Bhanupriya).
