Dilip saves Neeta when her horse veers off control. A friendship develops between the two and when her father passes away she makes him a partner in the family business that she inherits. Very soon Dilip falls in love with her. However, it turns out that Neeta is in love with and engaged to Rajan. She marries him once he returns from abroad. When Dilip declares his love for her on her wedding night, she tells him that she has always looked upon him as a friend and nothing more. Rajan soon begins to suspect Neeta of infidelity. They plan to get married but Surendra who is a former student of professor finds her and appeals to the professor to let her go and let them marry.
