Ramana (Sanjeev), Yuvan (Abhinay), Aadhi (Sathyan), Prabhu (Nithin Sathya) and Iniyan (Chams) are friends in a locality. Yuvan is a spoilt-brat and is a son of a rich entrepreneur. Ramana is a caring brother who is determined to work hard and get his sisters married. Iniyan (Chams) is a struggling lawyer and Aadhi wants to make it big in cinema. Prabhu is a happy-go-lucky youth, who runs an auto rickshaw. Their life takes a turn when Priya (Karthika) arrives in their locality. Priya gets acquainted with them. She helps them overcome their inferiority complex and succeed in their careers. Meanwhile Aadhi develops romance towards her. But the friends suffer a shock when they come to know that Priya is in the brink of death and is affected by heart problems. more»

The story is about Balu (Vishal), who on a visit to his friend's town Chidambaram, takes on the local dada Kasi (Lal). Balu, an engineering student, also falls in love with his friend's sister Hema (Meera Jasmine). Kasi, after being at the receiving end of Balu's macho ways, is smarting under the rebuff. He thirsts for revenge. So when Balu goes back to his own city Madurai, Kasi also goes there to extract blood for blood. But Balu is from no ordinary family. His father Dorai (Raj Kiran) is himself a powerful leader in his domain. So taking out Balu is not such an easy task. But Kasi wants revenge at any cost. He befriends a local goon(Thalaivaasal' Vijay) who is made an outcast by Dorai and they together plan to exact revenge. Meanwhile Balu's friend and his family visits his city as they are on a pilgrimage they meet Balu at the temple and accept his apology. He proposes to Hema and their love is accepted by their parents. The goons plan to exact revenge during the annual temple festival as they reason that it will be crowded and that Dorai and his henchmen will not be able to defend themselves .They attack but the events do not turn out in their favor. Sudalai (Raj Kiran) is a village chieftain who enjoys great respect among villagers. He leads a happy life with his wife Sevandhi (Seetha). However, due to some turn of events, he is forced to clean the slippers of the villagers by the local police. Unable to tolerate the insult meted out, he and his wife decide to leave the village with their young son Sevvel (Jai Akash). Sudalai manages to join a State Minister as his car driver and stays in her house in Chennai and visits his house once a week. One day, an advocate Parasuram (Kalabhavan Mani) in a fit of rage murders the Minister and manages to escape, leaving the blame on Sudalai. He is arrested and gets life imprisonment. On hearing the news, his wife dies of shock and the child gets orphaned only to be taken care by a noble heart. Years roll by and Sudalai settles down in Chennai and ekes out a livelihood by running an old paper mart. Meanwhile, Sevvel grows up and his search for his father continues. He grows up to a noble hearted youth who joins a law college. He works in Sudalai's paper mart without knowing that he is his father. He passed out in flying colours in his law exams and joins as Parasuram's junior.The rest is all emotional drama which culminates with Jai Akash taking revenge of Parasuram and a reunion with his father. more»
